Primary research interests include leadership and organizational development issues.   Being closely affiliated with Cooperative Extension in three different states, I am particularly interested in how leadership and organizational development issues impact Extension work.

I serve as the Emergency Response and Preparedness Coordinator for Virginia Cooperative Extension.  Duties include providing training and resources for Extension Agents to use in fulfilling their local emergency roles, coordinating professional development in emergency preparedness and response, and coordinating emergency response and preparedness efforts with federal, state, and local agencies with input from Associate Directors.  In the event of an emergency, I provide timely information to the VCE Director and Associate Directors for use in making decisions on behalf of the organization.  In addition to emergency response and preparedness roles, I serve on the State 4-H Faculty and perform various 4-H program related assignments.
