Lynn Margheim is the Trainer for the Family Nutrition Program of Virginia. Lynn is a 1985 graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Science of Food and Nutrition from the department of Human Nutrition and Foods. After receiving her degree, Lynn worked in international relief and development with Food for the Hungry in Bolivia for five years. On returning to the US, she worked for ten years with a software developer in marketing and sales. In 2003 she received her Master’s degree in Career and Technical Education and spent nine years teaching Family and Consumer Sciences and Spanish in public schools. Lynn served on the board of the Virginia Association of Teachers of Family and Consumer Sciences for three years, and continues to serve as webmaster for the organization.

Lynn enjoys teaching nutrition and utilizing her education, marketing and sales experience as well as her mastery of computers to help Family Nutrition Program educators excel in their work. Being the Trainer with FNP lets her utilize her skills and experience in a creative and fulfilling way. Lynn enjoys gardening, canoeing, hiking and camping when she is not working.
