3.     How will the intern learn about the breadth of VCE and our various program areas?

From the plan outlined you can see the intern will be exposed to a wide variety of curriculum, programming, and special events that are housed at the Chesterfield Cooperative Extension Office.  The selected intern will develop experiences with horticulture and youth development programming as well as interdisciplinary events which showcase all that VCE has to offer as an organization.  Many of the marketing opportunities throughout the summer are collaborative efforts by the Chesterfield Extension office, which will give the intern a chance to promote and discuss everything that VCE has to offer to the community.

The focus on 4-H programming through the weekly day camps will allow the intern to familiarize themselves with the VCE program model as they will be integral to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the process.  There will be an expectation to write impact statements based on each day camp that the 4-H Agent will utilize in her own reporting as well as feedback for future summer programming in Chesterfield.
