Virginia Tech’s enology Extension team is involved in activities designed to improve the quality of Virginia wines, and they provide many resources to the Virginia wine industry for continued improvements. The technical needs of the industry are addressed by site visits, short courses, and workshops throughout the year. Research projects examine practical techniques that can be utilized in the industry to impact wine quality. The Enology Services Laboratory offers various wine, beer, and distilled spirits analyses to the industry.
